A Quality Light for My Gun

My husband wanted me to learn how to shoot a gun before he was deployed overseas for 12 months. I also thought it was a good idea, especially since I was not afraid of guns. I just had no interest in them before, but I did want to know how to protect myself. He told me I was a natural shot when I kept hitting the target repeatedly our first few times out. Because of that, we moved onto the second part of my training, which was accessories like handgun lights. I knew that there were certain accessories like holsters and extra clips, but I had no idea that there were lights designed to attach to a gun to make it easier to see what a person is shooting.

He showed me a website that had reviews of different lights designed for guns, and I learned a good bit just by reading the unbiased reports. I learned that there are two manufacturers that most gun owners rely on for their lights, which are Streamlight and Surefire. I had heard of both of these companies because of my husband’s passion for guns, so I knew that they were indeed good ones.

Then, I was able to learn all about the lights. I thought that a really bright light would be the best, but I quickly found out that is not the case. Sometimes, a really bright light can backfire on the person using it and give the advantage to the other party. I was able to learn about the top gun lights made from these two companies, and my husband was happy with the one that I chose. It did not take long to be delivered, and I was able to put it on and test it that same day. Having a quality light really does make a difference!
